Applicant Tracking

Most HR offices are busy managing a constant stream of employment applications. Clients can simplify their recruiting process while ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. It’s simple. They can begin tracking with as little as a name and address. As the process proceeds, they can easily add educational background, work history, skills & certifications, reference checks, interview history, test scores and so on. HR offices can evaluate applicants, send communications and easily activate new hires into the Personnel/Human Resources system.

Personnel/Human Resources

These tools maintain position control and streamline the process of managing employee information. They transfer employee data changes to Payroll and Budget applications with no duplication of entry. Personnel/Human Resources applications maintain a history for every employee transaction, including promotions, transfers, reclassifications, leaves of absence, terminations, and more. Tyler’s Payroll applications are specifically designed to address the payroll processing needs of schools, local governments and utilities. Our clients manage high volume payroll transactions with speed, accuracy, security, and flexibility. Our payrolls are designed to run as payroll “by exception”, so that weekly input and changes are kept to a minimum; normal earnings and withholdings are preset as recurring records and clients only modify records that are exceptions. Of course, we also process balloon, direct deposit, advance vacation, void, manual, and vendor payrolls with ease. Processing can be centralized or de-centralized. Our software is kept in compliance with state and federal requirements, has powerful reporting capabilities, and our tools make W-2 processing simple.

Employee Training

Employee Training software assists agencies in directing courses for both internal and external training classes, such as CPR or community college courses. This allows our clients to post online course catalogs and facilitate Web-based enrollment. Automated approval queues and communications create efficiency and save time for administrators and supervisors. How? We allow them to easily manage instructors and qualifications, develop course evaluations from a library of questions, define equipment and materials required for each course, and manage the enrollment and validation of pre-requisites from a single source.

Pension Tracking

Tyler’s software assists HR departments with the information management and reporting requirements of their pension system, tracking by fiscal or calendar year. The calculations involve total credited service, which is comprised of actual time served and purchased time less non-service time. Interest is calculated automatically and adjustments/withdrawals are tracked.

NY Civil Service

Our NY clients use this application to simplify the entry and tracking of Civil Service employees both paid by the reporting entity (county or city) and not paid (if they are from surrounding towns, villages, and school districts). They are able to monitor work history, position control, and eligibility lists, as well as track positions and applicants for county and non-county staff.
