Tyler’s Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) is the communication lifeline for police officers, fire, and emergency personnel. CAD allows call takers and dispatchers to work more efficiently by combining both command line and object-oriented functionality.

The CAD system is designed to perform for a variety of law enforcement organizations with single or multiple agency dispatching. CAD interfaces with Tyler Records Management Software (RMS), Tyler Mobile CAD, E911 systems, NCIC, Mapping, AVL, Fire Records, EMS systems, and more.

Efficient Call/Event Management

Our unique hybrid entry interface allows for either a command line interface or a mouse-driven interface. With user-defined commands, dispatchers determine the fastest way to perform a specific function for tasks like assigning, arriving, or clearing units. Automatic unit suggestions, automatic radio logging, officer safety warnings, color-coded visual warning indicators, and software windows that can be shared on one computer monitor or stretched over multiple monitors make operations fast and effective.

Mobile CAD

Since officers require access to information from the road, they may connect directly to dispatch or other users via laptops or tablets. They do this through encrypted transmissions over a wireless network. Our Mobile CAD system features clear touch-screen buttons and hotkeys.

Optional Features

• The E911 interface automatically enters ANI/ALI information on the call sheet.
• The NCIC interface automates queries for warrants, driver’s license information, and vehicle registration information. All NCIC requests and returns are logged.
• Mapping interface capabilities plot the location a call was made from, allowing CAD users to view the location of a unit.
• Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) utilizes global positioning (GPS) to automatically track unit movement on a map.
• Messaging provides silent communications between mobile units, CAD users, and RMS users.
• Interfaces with dispatch protocol software.
• Interfaces with Fire Records software.
